WORLD DAHLIA DIRECTORY

This section represents an accumulation of over 55,000 dahlia varieties from all over the world, dating back to the early 1800's, and it is believed to be the most comprehensive list available. It has been checked as much as possible, but there are bound to be some inaccuracies in this volume of data.

RAISERS

There are details of some 3000 raisers from all over the world, details include a code, raisers name and country, raisers prefix, ADS code for the raiser and the address of the raiser.  Prefix details are covered more fully in the dahlia names section

VARIETIES

The data has been researched by myself, with considerable assistance from the late Gerry Weland from California, USA to whom I am indebted. The data is not static and regular updates will be done to the individual pages.

The data for each variety contains its name, and its version where there is more than one with the same name.

Its type, subtype and colour based as far as possible on the RHS International agreement on classification.

 Its recommended usage where known - E-exhibition, G-garden, C-cut flower and P- pot or patio.

Year of Introduction, raiser code and country.

Reference for the variety (including ir?? for International Register, and cd?? for NDS Classified Directory), height in cms, awards received and comments.

The volumes of data mean that it has to be presented as text files, and some may be slow to load
